Brake pads are the friction surfaces that contact the brake discs within a disc braking system.
They are made of various friction materials bonded to a steel backing plate.
Lextek brake pads now contain Kevlar (TM) for improved durability and less disc abrasion compared with other organic brake pads. Pads are sold as a pair per caliper.
